The building brings together academics and students from the Visual Arts and those from Psychology and Computing amongst other disciplines. The sharing of a digital media lab floor between Psychology and Computing is believed to be a first in the academic world in Britain.

This will be the flagship floor of the building and glazed partitions to the teaching space will enable activities across the open plan floor to be visible.
