Studio 4

Studios 1 - 4 each house workstations based around an Apple iMac computer. All rooms can be used for stereo work; Studios 3 – 4 also support 5.1 surround composition.

These studios are primarily designed for use by undergraduate students. They can be booked online via LORE.

There is a 4-hour-a-week online booking limit per student – for more time once this allocation has been used up, call or email the EMS office. Students can also call into the EMS in person on the day and ask to use unoccupied rooms and check for cancellations. 

The workstations in Studios 1 - 2 comprise:

Apple iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5, with 24Gb RAM, Mac OS 10.11.6

RME Fireface pro audio/MIDI interface

CME UF60 master keyboard, with MIDI controller faders

ADAM ANF10 2-way passive nearfield studio monitors

Samson Servo-120a stereo power amplifier, 60 watts per channel

The workstations in Studios 3 - 4 comprise:

Apple iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5, with 24Gb RAM, Mac OS 10.11.6

RME Fireface pro audio/MIDI interface

CME UF60 master keyboard, with MIDI controller faders

ADAM A7X active nearfield monitors (Studio 3)

A range of studio microphones, control interfaces and headphones are kept in the EMS office and are available for use in each of these spaces.
