Video Conferencing
Video conferencing facilities are now available for meetings, teaching, research, interviews and many other exciting reasons to speak to other people in the world for free via High Definition video.

of Computer Hardware
We are centralising bulk procurement of generic computer hardware across the College. Find out how your department can save money on IT purchases.
Web Content Management System (WCMS)
A system has been purchased by IT Services that will house the new College websites. The system streamlines the updating and editing of web pages. Staff who are responsible for updating the websites will be trained on the new system in due course. Find out more.
Goldsmiths Wiki
After a successful pilot scheme the Goldsmiths wiki service is now available to all staff at: http://wiki.gold.ac.uk. Contact wiki@gold.ac.uk for details of how to join in.
Rebranding of the websites
As part of the College branding project the websites are being rebranded also. This is being done in 2 phases. See the branding pages for latest information.
Internet Café
We will be improving access to computing by increasing the number of locations where staff and students can access the internet and email on a drop in basis by providing PCs in a range of different open access areas around campus.
Information Points
We will be extending interactive information points, accessible by all, at strategic locations around campus. These facilities will provide useful IT information and advice.
Wifi and networking for Student Halls
We are continuing to network student residences, increasing the availability of networks points and wifi enablement.
Refurbishment of the Open Access areas
This is an annual programme of work where we update and replace PCs, Macs, scanners, AV equipment, etc.
Experts guide database
A detailed and time-consuming process has culminated in a new Experts database facility. The new database will provide greater flexibility of searching and a wider variety of information and reference.
