Personal web pages

Individual staff and students may set up a personal web site on the College's Homepages server. Please see 'Setting Up Personal Web Pages' for details of how to use this facility. There is 10Mb of web space available for each user. (Note that material on the Homepages server is not backed up, so you should ensure you have separate copies of any files published on this server.)

The Homepages server itself provides full documentation, and IT Services do not provide any additional support for those who make use of this facility. The IT Services Help Desk cannot deal with any queries relating to personal web pages. The Library has a substantial collection of books on web authoring (shelved mainly at 004.678 and 005.133Ht).

Any user who creates personal Web pages on the College's servers must comply with the requirements set out in the Web Publishing Policy (IT Services Guide C6.2)
